The Idea of Love

Many times did I discern
amidst the tangle of feelings
the resonation from the ruptures
which kept my heart evolving
This acquiring sagacity through the journey I rove
The genesis of which was the idea of love.

I've never been so broken
I've never been so whole
embracing and encountering feelings
my heart lost it's power and control.

In it's own emptiness
vast joy it finds.
in giving inexplicably,
this stubborn heart of mine.

To pledge and forfeit
every bit of my own
in every possible way,
with sacrifices unknown.

To give infinitely,
expecting nothing in return.
reminiscing these deeds
knowing they would bid adeiu and turn

Even in this emotion of dark
A pentrated ray will ignite the spark
Someday, someone to love inspite of all
This idea of love enthralls.
