Perfect Night

Twinkling Twinkling.. They were one two three..
A hundred, A thousand
And Millions and billions forming a bewildering myriad !

Out of our reach but within our sight.
Shining bubbly bright.
Rhythmically dancing to a profound Tune
That only he and me exemplary knew !

A variety of patterns that they formed.
And Like diamonds in the dark sky they glowed.
Dissenting the life we shared.
And it all seemed Like a fairytale !

Staring at the wide sky, with starlight around
His perfume mingling, in my surround.
Embraced now, softly we kiss.
That felt like pure Bliss !

Away, far away from the city life.
On the beach, in a serene sight.
That was a perfect night !
That was a perfect night !

    Quoting from Eavan Boland
"I would come to understand there is no poem separable from its source. I began to see that poems are not just an individual florescence. They are also a vast root system growing down into ideas and understandings. Almost unbidden, they tap into the history and evolution of art and language."
